Week 4Posting 3 to 5 thoughtful, genuine comments per day across different subreddits is more effective than mass commenting. Reddit rate-limits accounts that comment too frequently, and new or low-karma accounts hit it first.
That is the message you see when you hit the limit (the minutes vary). Reddit does not publish exact thresholds, the wording is documented in the PRAW rate limit docs. If you see it, stop for the day in that subreddit.

Rule 01The best Reddit comments answer the question or solve the problem before mentioning anything else. Lead with value, always. Comments that help people get upvoted and stay visible.
Rule 02Reddit users can smell self-promotion from a mile away. If you mention your product, make it a natural part of your helpful answer. Never make the comment about your product.
Rule 03Comments on posts within the first hour get significantly more visibility. Sort by "New" or "Rising" in your target subreddits to find opportunities before they blow up.
Rule 04Every subreddit has its own culture. A comment that works on r/startups would feel out of place on r/webdev. Read the room and adapt your language accordingly.
Rule 05Do not just drop a comment and leave. Reply to responses, answer follow-up questions, and build a conversation. Reddit rewards engagement, and so do potential customers.
Rule 06New accounts or accounts with no history in a subreddit get flagged. Spend time being a genuine member of the community before adding any promotional angle to your comments.
